Will Rolands scores ninth place finish in SAS finale at Smoky Mountain

Friday night saw Will Roland return to action at Smoky Mountain Speedway (Maryville, Tenn.) for the Southern All Star Series doubleheader. Drawing 34 cars for the King of the Mountain Championship, Roland came in sixth fastest in his time trial group, sending him into the B-Main for another shot at the opening night feature. Transferring the Top 6 into the show, Will was an early retiree from the 8-lap consolation event on the sixth lap.

The following night, Roland edged his way into the $7,000-to-win finale with the fourth and final transfer spot in his heat. Rolling off 13th, Will gained four spots in the 50-lap affair to register a ninth place finish.
