Will Roland collects two Top-10 finishes in Spring Nationals weekend
Will Roland returned to the Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals tour with a visit to Tri-County Racetrack (Brasstown, N.C.) on Friday afternoon.
With 26 Late Models on hand, Roland earned fast time honors in his group which placed him on the outside pole of the 40-lap feature. For the $7,553-to-win main event, Will led the field early but faded late into the feature and settled for a fifth-place outing.
Switching gears to Rome Speedway (Rome, Ga.) on Saturday afternoon, Roland qualified 15th-quickest before finishing fourth in his heat. Rolling off from the 12th-position in the $10,053 feature, Will gained six positions to finish just outside the Top-5 in sixth.
