Roland grabs Crate Racin' USA Winter Shootout points lead at East Bay Raceway Park
On Thursday afternoon, Will Roland followed the Crate Racin' USA Winter Series to East Bay Raceway Park (Gibsonton, Fla.) for the first night of the Clay by the Bay.
Among 90 other Late Models on the premises, Roland qualified eighth-fastest in his group before moving forward two positions in the prelim to finish sixth.
For Friday's second 25-lap preliminary feature, Will rolled off from the third-row and wound up on the podium in second. Roland ran runner-up to Kyle Hardy while Matt Dooley completed the Top-3.
Winning his B-Main on Saturday to lock himself into the $5,000-to-win finale, Roland rolled off from the 13th starting position and marched forward to finish inside the Top-5 in fourth.
Will Roland currently sits atop the Crate Racin' USA Winter Series point standings.
